ABOUT US
Who we are
Women’s Career Society is an association that inspires young women to find a career path and unites like-minded students to build a wide network.
Completely student-driven, the association is run by 15 ambitious business-minded students in different stages of their studies. Our board consists of students from both Aalto University and Hanken School of Economics.
WCS was founded in 2019 by four ambitious Hanken students. Aalto University has been a part of WCS since 2020.
Why we exist
The main goal of WCS is to close the gender gap in specialist and leadership positions by empowering, inspiring and uniting students and professionals.
We believe that strong networks build confidence, boost individual strengths and enable people to motivate each other. Therefore, we aim to unite talented students regardless of major subject or year of studies.
What we do
We seek to motivate our network by presenting different career possibilities and lifting up role models through our events and our social media platforms.
We organize a variety of empowering events, like workshops, panel discussions and after works. Each year we also run an annual mentorship program that connects students to professionals to help them navigate and shape their careers.
Our influence extends beyond events - we host a blog and create engaging Instagram content to share insights and stories across industries.
