Aftermath: Panel discussion

On the 2nd of November we held our annual panel discussion that has already become a tradition for Women's Career Society. This year the panel was about sustainability with the theme “Career in Sustainability” as this was a topic that we felt passionate about and that had been highly requested.

The panel was held in the beautiful Rake venue in hotel Klaus K. Our panel consisted of Katariina Helaniemi from Illusian, Laura Laakso from Tise, Marjo Hinkkala from ResQ Club and Annika Esono Manninen from OP Asset Management. All women represent different industries but are all connected by the passion of building a more sustainable future. We got a record amount of registrations for the event and rightly so - these women delivered a truly inspirational and personal discussion.

While enjoying food and drinks from our partner for the event, Kämp Collection Hotels, we got to hear about the panelists' background, struggles they’ve had to overcome as well as sustainability trends, drivers for sustainability and how the opportunities in sustainability have developed during the last few years.

We would like to thank our amazing panelists for joining us for this event and for creating great discussions about an actual and important topic. We would also like to thank our main partners EY, Evli, NREP and BCG for making this event possible as well as Kämp Collection Hotels for the beautiful venue. A big thanks goes, of course, to all participants who truly created a beautiful and relaxed atmosphere.

During the evening we also had the opportunity to announce that the application for the next year’s Women’s Career Society board will open this Friday, Nov 4th. We encourage all ambitious and interested Aalto and Hanken students, regardless of major or years of study to apply!

Stay tuned for our next events for this fall!
